It will be my job as Governor to get up every morning and make sure this state is moving, innovating and investing fast enough and smart enough to meet the demands of jobs and the economy of the 21st century.
When I became Mayor of Dayton, I set a big goal – that we would be a city of lifelong learning, nonstop education from cradle to career and beyond. Ohio should set a similar goal – to be a state of learners.
The heroin epidemic is no accident. It didn’t just happen. It started with the drug companies. The drug companies made this mess, and it’s time they stopped passing the buck to Ohio’s taxpayers and started paying to clean it up.
