The Whaley campaign today announced that veteran Democratic campaign professional and Michigan native Ben Miller will serve as Whaley’s Campaign Manager. Miller has worked in Democratic politics for 20 years, most recently as Campaign Director of the Minnesota House Democratic Caucus.

“I’m eager to join Nan’s team and to get things done for the State of Ohio,” said Miller. “Nan has worked to bring so much progress, innovation and investment to Dayton because she’s passionate about the people she serves. She works hard, gets it and she understands the challenges Ohioans face. I look forward to getting Nan elected so we can get it done for the entire Buckeye State.”

In addition to his work with Minnesota House Democratic Caucus, Miller has also served as Executive Director of the DC-based General Majority PAC, Campaign Manager for Staci Appel for Congress (D-IA) and Political and Campaign Director for the Michigan House Democrats, among various other Democratic campaign and consultant roles for the last 20 years.

“Ben’s experience, energy and dedication to Democratic ideals make him a great addition to our team,” said Whaley spokeswoman Faith Oltman. “We see Nan’s candidacy gaining momentum every day as she continues to connect with voters and picks up support from local leaders across our state. We’re excited to bring Ben on to the hardest-working team in the race.”
